Broken Hearts

I love what i get to do everyday as my job. I get to have my office in what ever restaurant, coffee shop or pub that has some sort or wireless connection to the interweb. I have a tremedous amount of atonomy and freedom to determine my schedule and priorities. I work with some amazing people that are passionate about changing the world and advancing the Kingdom of God. They are some of the brightest, most creative and hilarious people i know. These are the kind people that will stand by you no matter how difficult life gets. Did i say that i love my job? Its true!

There is a very difficult aspect to what i do. And to be honest i feel very honored that i get to participate in this as well, though it is extremely trying at times. People have graciously invited me into their lives and allowed me to help carry their burdens. I am often amazed at the huge burdens that people are lugging around. We often have no clue of the hell people have had to live through. I love being a part of the process of seeing God's hand at worki in people's lives, but there are just so many broken hearts out there. The stories never cease to astonish me. The Scriptures say that God is "close to the broken hearted." If your heart has been broken by this broken world, take heart because Jesus has overcome it. There is healing for broken hearts in Him. May the peace and love in Christ be yours in abundance.

  1. Great blog man! You underestimate yourself when it comes to writing - you've got a gift. I appreciate what you do a lot, and feel that it should never be underestimated by anyone. You are a great friend, an amazing listener, your love for Jesus is encouraging, and your care for people and this world is the one of the most beautiful things I've ever gotten to experience in my life. If you ever need someone to carry any burdens for you, please consider me.
